Our history

As freelancers we walk up against a wall if we want to apply for funding or participate in calls. In 2016, we gathered our heads, our skills, love for arts, nature and decided to form Càlam. Since then we have been able to develop educational, creative and artistic projects and we will continue to do so.

Art is a great communication tool, Nien likes to use it as a motor to spread messages from all different communities. In her work human rights and mental health are central, both in the community art projects as in my personal work. She is always searching for ways to engage people in a dialogue while playing and exploring with different materials.

She holds a Bachelor in Social and Cultural Studies and Master in Creative Therapies.
