
Our history
As freelancers we walk up against a wall if we want to apply for funding or participate in calls. In 2016, we gathered our heads, our skills, love for arts, nature and decided to form Càlam. Since then we have been able to develop educational, creative and artistic projects and we will continue to do so.
The Team

Christian Alonso Madrid
Christian Alonso is a researcher, curator, and teacher specializing in art and ecology.
He is a lecturer in Contemporary Art History at the University of Lleida (professor lector / assistant professor) and Director of the artistic research project Hybrid Ecologies of the Llobregat Delta (https://ecodeltallobregat.org).
He has previously served as Director of the Contemporary Art Center La Panera, Adjunct Professor at the School of Design ESDI–Ramon Llull University, Associate Lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), Coordinator of the curatorial studies program On Mediation, and Project Coordinator of the research group Art, Globalization, Interculturality (University of Barcelona).

Arthur Brun

He's excited about new technologies, digital storytelling, and the intersection of art and media.

Nien Boots
Art and Community projects.
Art is a great communication tool, Nien likes to use it as a motor to spread messages from all different communities. In her work human rights and mental health are central, both in the community art projects as in my personal work. She is always searching for ways to engage people in a dialogue while playing and exploring with different materials.
She holds a Bachelor in Social and Cultural Studies and Master in Creative Therapies.
